News Of the Game! Another Great Game for the Blades, though not on the ice, as they dominate play, beat Cubs 7-3 after tight first and second periods. All Lines click in Win
Obscure cry of "Shake and Bake Blowfish" has team charged up for chippy hanging Cubs.
Well, you know the collapse is coming, but it just isn't here yet... The 'Blades started out fine, with superior dominating play in the Cubs zone. It was the usual pairings - Love line, Size Line, and the Lords, with Tic Tac and Physical Lines on D. Hound Dog was back; Cat made it back from the Eagles game, though a little not on both skates, a little too many sausages (is that the Loofa's that Peter's talking about?
It was tight, with Cubs goalie having a good game, and the defense still smarting from too many Schmidt's in the Vet parking lot (a local Philly beer from the last time they went to the 'Bowl) such that it was still 3-1 after the first, and 3-2 after the second. Hatchet stuck in one, and Secret Weapon scored, the Lords line pitched in...
The 'Blades were on the move, and then took charge in the third... It was like Alisha and Juwann were there (heck if I know the crazy rap band's name) and they started to poor it on!
The 'Cubs must have got some pointers from the parent club, standing at the blue line with what seemed 2 or 3 forwards, and getting breakaways (they had 3 on the penalty kill, but what were our guys doing there?) but no need to worry, the defense kept out the goals, and the 'Blades prevailed.
They should learn somehting from this game, as they play the Bombers next Tuesday, Pizza Night for all the marbles, at least so far in C Division.
watch out for the streaking Fireblades!
Note: Shake and bake Blowfish refers to a corrupted pronunciation of the Hungarian curse, A horse private part up your bum.
